Live, we move away from all of the polish and extras that are typical in studio recordings to enrich things for that kind of recorded sound. I love that full-on studio process and world, but there's a different kind of cool, raw energy that happens when you're on stage and distilling the tunes down to what works best live. The “Distilled” versions of these songs capture them in a fashion that is straight up rock 'n' roll, no chaser. Nothing but guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.
